Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Vladimir Božović, met with Mr. @aaronstein1, President of the Foreign Policy Research Institute @FPRI

Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Vladimir Božović, met with Mr. @aaronstein1, President of the Foreign Policy Research Institute @FPRI, one of the leading think tanks in the field of international affairs. Mr. Stein presented the work and initiatives of the Institute and expressed interest in establishing cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia, extending an invitation for continued dialogue and joint efforts. The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.

Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Vladimir Božović, met with Mr. Pierre-Olivier Lugez, Senior Director of International Business & Global Strategy at the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce, and Mr. Joey Bilyk, Director of International Business & Global Strategy. During the meeting, Consul General Božović presented the work of the Consulate and emphasized the importance of the Serbian community’s presence in the city. On behalf of the Serbian community, he submitted a request for the placement of the Serbian flag along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway — a boulevard adorned with flags representing countries from around the world — and formally proposed organizing a flag-raising ceremony. The City of Philadelphia officials expressed their full willingness to support and cooperate in these efforts. They underscored their openness to cultural and economic collaboration, and conveyed that the city stands ready to support members of the Serbian community, particularly those seeking to start or grow a business in Philadelphia.

Yesterday, following the Holy Liturgy at the St. Nicholas Church in Philadelphia, the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Vladimir Božović, greeted those present and presented the work and activities of the Consulate General. During the gathering, he answered numerous questions from our citizens, and valuable suggestions and ideas were shared regarding the improvement of cooperation with the Consulate. The conversation took place in an exceptionally pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Such meetings reaffirm the importance of open dialogue with the diaspora and contribute to strengthening mutual trust and cooperation at all levels. Today, Consul General Vladimir Božović continues his visit to Philadelphia, where meetings are scheduled with representatives of the Mayor’s Office and Serbian businesspeople in this important and historically significant American city.
