Vladimir Božović, PhD, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, had the honor of attending the commemorative event marking the anniversary of the Constitution of May 3, 1791
The gathering paid tribute to one of Europe’s most significant historical documents, recognized as the first modern codified constitution in Europe and the second in the world, while also celebrating the enduring values of democracy, civic responsibility, and international cooperation.
The evening brought together members of the diplomatic corps, distinguished guests, and representatives of cultural and public life, and was further enriched by an exceptional musical performance by Lithuanian clarinetist Tomas Mileriūs of The Juilliard School, accompanied by pianist Ina Jun.
Consul General Božović expressed his appreciation for the invitation and emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation among nations through dialogue, culture, and shared democratic values.
