Vladimir Božović, PhD, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, attended the prestigious Choose NYC Summit
The summit is one of New York City’s premier annual business forums, dedicated to attracting investment, fostering economic growth, and strengthening cooperation between New York City and leading companies from across the United States and around the world.
This year’s event brought together more than 300 companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and senior officials from a wide range of sectors to discuss the future of business, innovation, technological advancement, infrastructure development, and new investment opportunities in New York City.
Among the participants was New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, with whom Consul General Božović had a brief and cordial meeting.
During their conversation, the Consul General reminded the Mayor of the longstanding efforts of the Serbian community and the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia to establish a monument to Nikola Tesla in New York City.
Mayor Mamdani reaffirmed his support for the initiative and emphasized that he would do everything within his power to help bring this important project to fruition in the near future.
The summit provided an excellent opportunity for networking, strengthening business ties, and promoting cooperation between Serbia and New York City, one of the world’s leading economic centers.
