MEETING WITH ROLAND MATTHEWS, CONSUL GENERAL OF SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES
As President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York, I presented the Society’s history spanning more than a century, its mission and the opportunities it offers to connect consular missions with institutions and the business, academic and cultural communities. I warmly invited my colleague to join the Society and contribute to our shared work.
In my capacity as Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, I emphasized the importance of closer and more substantive cooperation between our consulates, as well as opportunities to connect Serbia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines through business, investment, tourism and culture.
I particularly thanked my colleague for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ confirmed participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade. I expressed my pleasure that his country will be part of this important global event, showcasing its potential, cultural heritage and tourism offerings. I emphasized that this presents a valuable opportunity to bring our countries closer together, establish new business partnerships and strengthen economic, tourism and cultural cooperation.
Mr. Matthews thanked me for our collegial and friendly conversation, held in a spirit of solidarity, and warmly invited me to visit Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in my capacity as Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York and President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York. I gladly accepted his invitation, and we look forward to arranging the visit very soon.
