The first Business and Leadership Gathering of the Serbian Diaspora, dedicated to the presentation of the specialized world exhibition EXPO 2027 Belgrade, was held at the premises of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York.

The event brought together distinguished members of the Serbian business community, entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals from a wide range of industries. More than 90 percent of invited guests attended the gathering, demonstrating the strong interest of the Serbian diaspora in strengthening mutual cooperation and further deepening ties with the Republic of Serbia.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to present their professional activities, exchange experiences, and engage in constructive discussions regarding opportunities for cooperation, investment, and the development of joint projects. Particular attention was dedicated to the presentation of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, which received an exceptionally positive response from those in attendance and generated significant enthusiasm regarding Serbia’s global presentation and future development potential.

This gathering also marked the first business and leadership event of its kind organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, with the aim of establishing a long-term platform for regular networking, cooperation, and institutional connection among successful individuals, representatives of Serbian companies in New York, and Serbian-American companies operating both in the Republic of Serbia and the United States, particularly in Belgrade and New York.

In a warm yet highly professional atmosphere, complemented by traditional Serbian hospitality and cuisine, discussions continued into the evening hours. Numerous professional contacts were established, business ideas exchanged, and proposals for future joint initiatives discussed, giving the event concrete and lasting practical value.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York will continue organizing similar gatherings on a regular basis, with the intention of serving as a meeting point for cooperation, networking, and support for the Serbian diaspora, while further strengthening its relationship with the homeland.

EXPO 2027 Belgrade represents a historic opportunity for the international presentation of the Republic of Serbia and an important platform for advancing economic, business, cultural, and institutional ties between Serbia and the Serbian diaspora worldwide.
