On this day, we remember the events of September 11, 2001, so that we never forget the tragedy that struck not only the city of New York, but the entire world.
We pay tribute to the 2,977 innocent victims, among whom were also Serbs. We remember them, as well as their families, friends, and all those who still carry the burden of this tragic event. We also honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, as well as the spirit of the citizens of New York, who came together in the search for the missing and generously offered their help. Today reminds us of the importance of unity, compassion, and dedication to peace and understanding, which are the foundation of a better future for all.
