The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York participated in the International Food and Culture Festival

25. Nov 2025.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York participated in the International Food and Culture Festival, organized by the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York and held at the Consulate General of Turkey, in the so-called “Turkish House.”

The event brought together diplomats, consular representatives, and city officials, celebrating the richness of world cultures through gastronomy, tradition, and artistic performances.

We had the honor of presenting elements of Serbia’s culinary heritage and our national specialties, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy flavors that are emblematic of Serbia.

With the same pride, we also delivered a musical performance that captured the spirit and cultural heritage of our country, enriching the artistic segment of the program.

The festival gathered a large number of countries, each showcasing its authentic culinary traditions.

Participating in the festival were the consulates of Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

Traditional dances and music from Argentina and Georgia delighted the audience, as did the performance by the young women of the cultural ensemble “Opančići,” who sang traditional Serbian songs from Kosovo and Metohija.

The festival once again demonstrated why New York is a true center of global diversity and a place where cultures from all corners of the world meet.

We are proud to have represented Serbia at such a prestigious event and look forward to new opportunities to continue showcasing Serbian culture and building bridges with the global community.
