Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York organized a special book promotion for Tesla’s Cottage
The event was opened by Consul General Dr. Vladimir Božović, whose inspiring and heartfelt speech paid tribute to the legacy of Nikola Tesla. Dr. Božović introduced the author and her husband, who are now the owners of the historic cottage in Shoreham, Wardenclyffe, where Tesla once lived and worked while developing his Wardenclyffe laboratory.
Barbara Daddino gave an emotional and sincere account of her ten-year journey writing the book, expressing deep admiration and affection for Nikola Tesla’s life and work. She read selected excerpts from the book, followed by a lively and thoughtful discussion moderated by Sofija Sretenović. The official part of the evening concluded with a Q&A session, during which the author patiently and thoroughly answered questions from the audience, reinforcing the interactive and engaged atmosphere of the event.
Tesla’s Cottage: The Lost History of Wanderclyffe follows Barbara Daddino’s personal story after purchasing and moving into Tesla’s former home, uncovering previously unknown details about the great inventor’s life.
With this event, the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York once again affirmed its role as an important cultural and educational platform for the Serbian-American community.
