Consul General Vladimir Božović, PhD, Attended the Reception on the Occasion of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
This significant event brought together numerous dignitaries, heads of delegations, ambassadors, consuls general, ministers, and leading business representatives along with other high-level participants of the 80th UN General Assembly.
The reception also included a tour of the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing of the museum, as well as cultural performances.
In the ceremonial atmosphere of the Metropolitan Museum, Consul General Božović met and exchanged views with many colleagues and distinguished guests, representing the Republic of Serbia and the Consulate General in this prestigious global center of culture and at such an important event, while simultaneously affirming the values and reputation of the Republic of Serbia.
The occasion also provided an opportunity for Consul General Božović to meet with the Mayor of New York, Mr. Eric Adams, recalling their long-standing acquaintance and friendship, and exchanging views. He also met with the Commissioner for International Affairs of New York City, Ms. Aissata M. B. Camara, Deputy Mayor Camille Joseph Varlack, and the Commissioner for Immigrant Affairs of New York City, Mr. Manuel Castro, with whom further cooperation was agreed upon, including Commissioner Castro’s upcoming visit to the Serbian community in Astoria.
The presence of Consul General Božović at such an important diplomatic and cultural event represents a valuable contribution to the affirmation of the Republic of Serbia and its active participation in international relations.
