Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, PhD Vladimir Bozovic, had the pleasure of attending an exceptional solo concert by the award-winning Serbian pianist Aleksandar Hadijevski and the United Nations Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Predrag Vasić, the Orchestra’s founder and Music Director.

The concert was held at the renowned New York concert venue Symphony Space before a large and enthusiastic audience. The program featured masterpieces of classical music, including Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Antonín Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95, “From the New World.”

In his remarks to the audience, Conductor and Music Director Predrag Vasic welcomed Consul General PhD Vladimir Bozovic and expressed his gratitude for his presence and support, noting his own roots in the Republic of Serbia and the strong ties that continue to connect him to his homeland.

The event was also attended by His Grace, the Right Reverend Irinej, Bishop of Washington-New York and Eastern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church, whose presence further enhanced the distinguished atmosphere of the evening.

The United Nations Symphony Orchestra is a unique international ensemble composed of musicians who serve in various United Nations agencies, institutions, and diplomatic missions. The Orchestra includes approximately 90 active members representing more than 30 countries and 17 different UN departments and organizations, demonstrating the power of music as a universal language that brings together peoples, cultures, and nations.

The attendance of the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia at this concert further reflects the Consulate’s continued support for Serbian artists who, through their talent and achievements, represent Serbia with distinction on the international stage and contribute to strengthening cultural ties and enhancing the reputation of our country around the world.
