Ambassador Vladimir Božović, PhD, President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SoFC) and Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, participated in the Africa Critical Minerals Forum: Unlocking Opportunities. Powering Economies., held at the prestigious The St. Regis New York. He attended at the invitation of the organizers and his friend, former New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
During the discussion following the first panel, Ambassador Božović emphasized the importance of diplomatic leadership in addressing today’s geopolitical challenges. He highlighted the need for dialogue, trust, and cooperation connecting governments, the diplomatic community, and business.
At the forum, Ambassador Božović met with presidents of African countries, other senior officials, and panel participants. In these conversations, he spoke about the Society’s new role and position in New York City and its work to strengthen connections among the city’s diplomatic, institutional, and business communities.
