Ambassador Vladimir Božović, PhD Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, was unanimously elected President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SOFC), becoming the first representative of the Republic of Serbia to lead this prestigious organization in its 102-year history.
The election of Ambassador Dr. Vladimir Božović represents a significant recognition of the Republic of Serbia, its diplomacy, and the work of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York. It also reaffirms Serbia’s growing standing and reputation within the international diplomatic community.
In his inaugural address, the newly elected President expressed his gratitude to the member states for their trust and emphasized that, during his term, he will be committed to strengthening cooperation among SOFC members, enhancing partnerships with U.S. institutions and international organizations, and further advancing public and digital diplomacy.
