Ambassador Vladimir Božović, PhD, Attends Opening of “Little Panama Way”

Ambassador Vladimir Božović, PhD, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York and President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SoFC), attended the official opening and designation of a section of Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn as “Little Panama Way.”
Ambassador Božović was personally invited to the ceremony in his capacity as President of the SoFC. During the event, he met with the President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, and First Lady Maricel Cohen de Mulino, as well as Roosvelt Thayer, Consul General of Panama in New York.
During their meeting, Ambassador Božović invited Consul General Thayer to join the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York, which he gladly accepted.
The “Little Panama Way” ceremony recognized the history, culture, and contributions of the Panamanian community to New York City, while also providing another opportunity to strengthen cooperation within the diplomatic and consular community in New York.
