Ambassador Vladimir Božović, PhD,Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York and President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SoFC), attended the presentation of the “Kuña Guapa: Women Weaving History” exhibition

During this significant event, Ambassador Božović met with President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Peña and First Lady of Paraguay Leticia Ocampos, who is the initiator and patron of the “Kuña Guapa” project.

Through a combination of Paraguayan haute couture, traditional textiles, jewelry, and traditional craftsmanship, the exhibition showcases Paraguay’s rich cultural heritage and tells a story of the courage, resilience, and dignity of Paraguayan women. At the same time, the project conveys a universal message about the important role of women in building peace, preserving cultural identity, and advancing social development.

The presentation of the exhibition in New York, during the United Nations General Assembly, provided an opportunity to promote Paraguayan culture and heritage internationally, while further strengthening cultural and diplomatic ties among nations.
