17th Folklore Festival “Circle of Friendship”, held at the Serbian Grounds in New Jersey
25. May 2026.
Despite the rain and challenging weather conditions, the 17th Folklore Festival “Circle of Friendship,” held at the Serbian Grounds in New Jersey, gathered a remarkable number of participants and guests from New York, New Jersey, Cleveland, and San Diego, along with a strong turnout from our Serbian community.
Following the opening blessing by Father Djokan Majstorovic and the beautiful introductory remarks by MC Ms. Olivia Greenpas on the importance of folklore societies, Consul General Vladimir Bozovic, PhD, welcomed all attendees and emphasized that through folklore we preserve our faith, nation, language, culture, and traditions.
In his address, he greeted everyone in his own name and on behalf of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York — the common Serbian home in New York for all Serbs from Serbia, Montenegro, Republika Srpska, and the wider region.
“Circle of Friendship” once again demonstrated the strength of our unity, tradition, and love for Serbian heritage.
