Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Dr. Vladimir Bozovic, welcomed his colleague, the new Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye, Muhittin Ahmet Yazal for his first official visit. During his visit to the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia, Consul General of Türkiye expressed his friendship and deep respect for the Republic of Serbia, its President, and leadership, conveying the greetings of the President and Government of Türkiye, with a desire to continue the successful cooperation between the two Consulates in New York. Consul General of Serbia, Dr. Vladimir Bozovic, thanked him for his kind words, welcomed the Consul General of Türkiye to New York, as well as to the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York. During the meeting, Dr. Bozovic informed him about the highly successful cooperation between the two Consulates and expressed the willingness to continue that collaboration. Dr. Bozovic also introduced the Expo 2027 project and other opportunities for further economic, business, and cultural cooperation. Consul General Yazal thanked Dr. Bozovic for this initiative and offered the space of the Consulate General of Türkiye, also known as the “Turkish House” across from the United Nations Headquarters, for any cultural, public, or musical events that the Serbian Consulate might organize, either independently or jointly with them. Both sides agreed that the bilateral relations between Türkiye and Serbia in New York have been exceptionally successful in recent times, with a shared desire to continue this fruitful cooperation.
