The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York is delighted to announce the outstanding success of the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe’s annual Metal for Tesla Earth Day event. This year, with the generous support of Gershow Recycling and Amazon, the event reached a record milestone by collecting an impressive 20,464 lbs. (9.14 tons) of metal to help fund the restoration of Tesla’s laboratory and the Wardenclyffe site.
Wardenclyffe, the last remaining laboratory where the renowned Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla worked, is of immense historical significance to the global community. Designed by Tesla’s friend, the distinguished architect Stanford White, the brick laboratory building is now being renovated into a premier science center dedicated to education, research, and entrepreneurship, embodying Tesla's vision to advance science for the betterment of humanity.
The Serbian Consulate in New York extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe for this remarkable achievement and expresses gratitude to all supporters and participants who made this success possible.
