Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Dr. Vladimir Božović, had the honor of attending the First Quarterly Members Meeting for 2025 and the accompanying reception, organized in Philadelphia by the Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia (CCAP). As part of the program, a special briefing was held, led by representatives of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), with a focus on new immigration policies, consular procedures, and security matters relevant to diplomatic and consular missions. The speakers included Christopher Brown, Assistant Field Office Director at ICE, and Troy Hall, Special Assistant at the U.S. Department of State. In the continuation of the program, during the internal meeting of CCAP members, special recognition was extended to Consul General Dr. Vladimir Božović, who addressed the attendees, presented the work and activities of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York—which also covers the territory of Philadelphia—and expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation with U.S. institutions and the international community. The program concluded with a formal reception, featuring remarks by Kathryn Ott Lovell, President and CEO of the Philadelphia Visitor Center and the Philadelphia250initiative—the city’s official platform for the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of American independence—as well as Lauren Swartz, Swedish Honorary Consul and President of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, the city’s leading international nonprofit organization.
