Today, the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Mr. Vladimir Božović, attended the Divine Liturgy at the Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Philadelphia. The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was officiated by His Grace Bishop Irinej (Dobrijevic) of Eastern America, with the concelebration of clergy and the prayerful presence of many faithful. Warmly welcomed by Bishop Irinej, the clergy, and the parishioners, Consul Božović shared in the spiritual joy of the service with the Serbian community, reaffirming Serbia’s strong commitment to preserving the spiritual, cultural, and national identity of our people in the diaspora. After the Liturgy, a fraternal gathering followed, during which discussions were held about the importance of unity and the possibilities for strengthening cooperation between the Serbian community in Philadelphia and the Consulate General in New York.
