Consul General Vladimir Bozovic, attended the International Holocaust Remembrance Day program organized by the American Jewish Committee's Jacob Blaustein Institute for the Advancement of Human Rights (AJC JBI) on January 27. The event, which took place at AJC Headquarters, featured poignant reflections by Holocaust survivor Gabriella Major, a message delivered by the Acting United Nations Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, as well as remarks from Gideon Taylor, President of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) and the World Jewish Restitution Organization, and Professor Rosa Freedman of the University of Reading (UK). In his address, Consul General Bozovic emphasized the profound importance of nurturing a culture of remembrance, underscoring the shared responsibility of safeguarding the memory of Holocaust victims and ensuring that such atrocities are never repeated. Bozovic highlighted the critical need for continued education and awareness to preserve historical truth and promote understanding across generations.
