The Consul General of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Božović, had the honor of attending the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival 2025) reception, organized by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York. This magnificent event brought together nearly 500 distinguished guests from various sectors. The Consul General of China in New York, Chen Li, highlighted the significance of the Year of the Snake, which symbolizes agility, wisdom, and transformation. He emphasized that the Spring Festival serves as a bridge that not only unites the Chinese people but also fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding between China and the rest of the world. James B. Heimowitz, former president of the China Institute in America, stressed the importance of culture in strengthening international relations. He expressed his belief that through shared experiences in culture, education, and language, the people of China and the United States will deepen their mutual connections and understanding. A special highlight of the evening was the cultural presentation by the renowned Prince Kung’s Palace Museum, one of the most significant museums and historical sites in China. Guests had a unique opportunity to participate in workshops showcasing traditional Chinese crafts. On this occasion, Božović extended his warmest congratulations to the Chinese people and the Chinese-American community in celebration of the Chinese New Year, stating: "Chinese New Year is a time of renewal, unity, and joy. As we enter the Year of the Snake, may it bring wisdom, prosperity, and success to our friends in China and across the world.
