On January 23, 2025, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Bozovic, participated in the observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the opening of Anne Frank: The Exhibition, held at the Center for Jewish History in New York. Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York, Ahmed Dadou, invited the diplomatic community for an exclusive tour of the exhibition, followed by a reception hosted by the UJA New York’s King David Society. The exhibition is part of a global effort to educate the public about the Holocaust and combat the rise of antisemitism. The event underscored the importance of remembering the Holocaust to ensure that its lessons are never forgotten. By preserving history, we honor the victims and fight against the hate that continues to affect communities worldwide. The exhibition, opening to the public on January 27 at the Center for Jewish History, home to the largest and most comprehensive archive of the modern Jewish experience outside of Israel, promises to provide a powerful educational experience for students and teachers across the region, reaffirming the commitment to a future of tolerance, understanding, and peace, while reflecting on the past. Consul General Vladimir Bozovic was particularly moved by the exhibition, especially the visible traces of the immense suffering endured by the Serbian people during the Nazi occupation, as well as the Serbian translation of Anne Frank’s diary, displayed among the first in line of the 76 languages in which it has been published. He expressed his deep gratitude to his colleague, Consul General Ahmed Dadou of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, for this extraordinary exhibition, which serves to remind, teach, warn, and inspire us to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again, anywhere.
