The Consul General of Serbia, Vladimir Božović, hosted the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York in the year of its significant milestone – the 100th anniversary of the society's founding. During the meeting, a productive discussion was held on future joint activities of the Society of Foreign Consuls (SOFC) aimed at strengthening internal collaboration among members and fostering partnerships with representatives of New York City and State administrations. The focus was on ensuring synergy in fulfilling SOFC’s mission to enhance cooperation, improve relations, and contribute to elevating the overall level of interaction between member states and the United States. In addition, the organization of the central celebration of SOFC’s centennial was discussed. The celebration would include a formal gala with distinguished guests, the production of a short documentary film, and the publication of a monograph highlighting the century-long history, most notable figures, and events that have shaped this most prominent consular and diplomatic society in the world. A special Organizing Committee was established, with Consul General Dr. Vladimir Božović representing Serbia as a member.
